Hi I'm Chris, a 3rd degree Black Belt Kickboxer with over 14 years' experience teaching adults and children across Birmingham and Solihull.
I started kickboxing when I was 16 years old and now I am fortunate enough to be making a living from my passion. I love teaching and put my heart and soul into coaching and go above and beyond to help all of my students achieve their goals, whilst having fun along the way!

About Elite Kickboxing
At Elite Kickboxing Academy, we create a vibrant and welcoming kickboxing experience for people of all ages and abilities. Our structured training sessions blend a variety of techniques, including pad work, paddles, kick shields, and sparring, all designed to guide you through your gradings at a steady and rewarding pace. Along the way, you'll receive personalised, constructive feedback to help you continuously improve.
Our classes are inclusive and adaptable, providing not just the physical benefits of martial arts, but also vital life skills and mental resilience. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, boost your fitness, build confidence, or simply enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded individuals, we cater to men, women, and children (age 6+), welcoming all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels.
Led by Chris McGlynn, a passionate and dedicated Instructor, our sessions are designed to get the most out of every individual. You’ll enjoy powerful workouts that channel energy and help reduce stress while improving balance, flexibility, coordination, and endurance.

Why Kickboxing?
Kickboxing is an exhilarating blend of martial arts and boxing, known for its fast-paced, high-energy action. Combining fitness with competition, it’s popular worldwide for its ability to improve both physical and mental well-being.
Mastering technique is crucial in kickboxing. Effective strikes require power from the hips, proper footwork for balance, and hands up for defence. Kicking also demands precision, with power generated from the hips and core, while the non-kicking leg maintains stability. Good defence involves slipping, dodging, blocking, and using agile footwork to evade attacks.
Beyond the physical, kickboxing sharpens mental focus, resilience, and adaptability under pressure. It also reduces stress, boosts self-esteem, and provides an intense, rewarding workout. Whether for fitness or competition, kickboxing builds strong bodies and minds through consistent training and proper instruction.
