Do I need to have prior martial arts experience in order to take classes?
No prior knowledge of martial arts or physical fitness is required to take kickboxing classes. From novices to experienced practitioners, kickboxing classes are made to be accessible to everyone.
Is there anything that would prevent me from participating in kickboxing courses physically or medically?
Before beginning any new physical activity, it's always a good idea to talk to your doctor, especially if you have a pre-existing medical issue. Although, our Instructors are willing to adapt lessons accordingly around students’ needs wherever possible.
Do you provide private kickboxing lessons?
Yes, speak directly to the Instructor about 1-2-1 lessons. This can be good if students want to prepare for grading or obtain gradings quicker. It is however dependent on the Instructors availability.
Is kickboxing an effective weight-loss exercise?
Yes, kickboxing is a fantastic exercise for losing weight. It is a strenuous, whole-body exercise that burns calories and aids in the development of lean muscle. Also, kickboxing's high-intensity nature makes it a fun and interesting workout that might keep you motivated to keep reducing weight.
How safe is kickboxing?
Kickboxing is typically seen as a risk-free sport, particularly when practised under the supervision of an experienced coach. Nonetheless, there is a chance of injury as with other strenuous activity. What is the minimum age to enrol in kickboxing classes?
Age 6 is the minimum age at Elite.
What attire is appropriate for a kickboxing class?
You should dress in loose-fitting, comfortable, and breathable clothing. For improved traction and support, it's also a good idea to wear trainers or other sports shoes. If If you enjoy your lesson and wish to join, you will need to purchase an Elite Uniform within 2 weeks of joining.
